SOFTWARE
Planar EM Field Modeling Software
Ensemble 6.1" is intended for the EM design needs of the wireless and wired telecommunications markets. It offers designers of RFICs, high frequency hybrid PCBs, MMICs and antennas complete capabilities for planar EM field modeling. The software offers an easy-to-use interface and is a planar method-of-moments (MOM) field simulator that computes EM fields, radiation and circuit models for high frequency planar structures. Results can be examined in S parameters, field patterns and current plots. Black-box elements are combined with full-wave EM analysis, enabling a designer to simulate complex circuits quickly and easily. In addition, both closed-cavity and open-region formulations of the MOM can be simulated simultaneously.

Design Software
CST Design Studio enables the breakdown of complex systems into smaller components, which then can be analyzed by the simulator best suited to the particular application domain. Everything then can be combined to obtain the S-parameter results for the entire system. This capability serves to greatly speed up the analysis and optimization of complex or highly resonating structures. The software also allows the incorporation of analytic components into the system. The parameters of analytic components do not require the repetition of any electromagnetic analysis in order to obtain the new system behavior, which typically leads to response times of the devices' analysis within seconds.

External Mixers
The models FS-Z60 and FS-Z75 external mixers allow measurements up to 60 and 75 GHz, respectively. The devices offer low conversion loss and a 1 dB compression point of typically +6 dBm and have a very wide dynamic range and high measurement sensitivity. For measurements in the millimetric-wave range the frequency range of spectrum analyzers can be extended by external mixers. These mixers offer this type of extension for waveguide bands U (40 GHz to 60 GHz) and V (50 GHz to 75 GHz). Due to their double-diode design, the mixers have a low frequency response ripple and require no additional biasing. Low conversion loss and high measurement sensitivity enable measurements on low level signals. In addition, the high 1 dB compression point of +6 dBm yields wide dynamic range.
