RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for an integrated front end module (iFEM) designed for Wi-Fi applications. Qorvo’s QPF7200 integrates a 2.4 GHz power amplifier, bypassable transmit BAW filter, LNA with bypass function and receive coexistence BAW filter into a single module measuring 8 x 5.5 mm.
Integration of key Tx/Rx functions reduces part count and shrinks PC board designs. The QPF7200 reduces BOM count by >25 components versus discrete designs yet provides +25dBm while maintaining spectral compliance. Gain is measured at 36 dB which reduces the power required from an SoC transceiver chip. Receive gain is 12 dB with low noise figure of 2 dB for increased signal sensitivity. Band edge filters and coexistence filters provide improved performance by eliminating unwanted signal intrusion. 5 GHz rejection of the receive path is 45 dB.
