SemiGen, a provider of multi-technology manufacturing services, recently announced the appointment of Tim Filteau as president of the company, a role he began in January (2018).
Filteau's previous positions included director of operations at several companies: the aerospace, defense and RF/microwave business segment of MACOM, Cobham's semiconductor operations and Aeroflex-Metelics' semiconductor, passive component and integrated product businesses. He brings strong experience leading semiconductor and RF/microwave components businesses.
Announcing the appointment, Jim Morgan, SemiGen CEO said, “After an expansion which significantly augmented SemiGen’s diode, passive component and thin-film capabilities, I was looking for a leader with the experience to help us take things to another level. I didn’t have to think twice. Tim’s been both a dedicated previous employee of mine, and an industry for whom I’ve held great respect for throughout his career. It’s truly great to be working with him again.”
Filteau said, “My goal is for SemiGen to be recognized as the partner every RF and microwave OEM wants at their side. In the midst of so much change and uncertainty in the industry supply chain, once we’re on an AVL, we’ll be there to support requirements from design and prototype development, assembly and testing, while also stocking key components and bonding supplies to keep our customers moving.”
Filteau's appointment follows SemiGen’s purchase and expansion into a 43,000 square foot fabrication facility in Londondery, New Hampshire, which was formerly the Micrometrics/Aeroflex-Metelics facility.
