Antenova Ltd is introducing two brand new antennas for the ISM and cellular frequencies. These antennas are designed to be used on the exterior of a product, and are built to an ergonomic blade design to blend well into the outside of the design.
The first antenna, named Draco (P/N,SREL036) is a terminal antenna for 4G, 3G and 2G applications, covering the LTE, HSPA+, WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, GPRS, DCS1800 and PCS1900 bands. It is suitable to be used in routers, industrial devices, remote devices and any smart meter application.
The second antenna, Pacifica (P/N SREI038) is a terminal antenna for 433MHz ISM applications, and is suitable for remote monitoring, industrial devices, remote technology, smart meters, medical devices and home automation.
The Draco and Pacifica antennas are both made to a high performance dipole design and come in three physical variants–swivel, fly lead and a fixed 90° design. This means they can be used to provide a wireless connection in numerous different situations, including both indoors and out of doors.
The version of the antennas with the fly lead has an SMA plug and a cable of one to two metres, and is designed for situations where the antenna needs to be placed away from its device in order to transmit effectively–for example, this antenna could be used to provide a connection to a smart meter installed in a basement or metal enclosure where there is no radio signal.
The 90° fixed antenna and the version with the fly lead are dust-proof and water resistant, rated to IPC68, which means they can be used in a wide variety of situations, indoors and out of doors, and in all weathers.
Like all of Antenova’s antennas, Draco and Pacifica are designed for easy integration to a device–Antenova has designed them to work with various ground plane sizes or in free space. For more details, antenna samples and evaluation boards, please see www.antenova-m2m.com.
