Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced that its industry leading Narrow Band Internet of Thing (NB-IoT) RF performance test solution was selected by RDA Microelectronics (RDA) to help accelerate its NB-IoT chipset testing.
NB-IoT is a narrowband cellular radio technology designed for the IoT by 3GPP. The deep coverage and extremely low power consumption of NB-IoT has created new R&D challenges in RF performance and new working modes. Chipset makers must evaluate the RF performance under real working modes to ensure a good connection and coverage.
Keysight and RDA are collaborating on NB-IoT test plans to ensure the highest quality NB-IoT chipset. By setting the chipset into different working modes with Keysight’s NB-IoT test solution, RDA can efficiently and completely test the RF performance and as a result, accelerate chipset development.
“Keysight’s E7515A UXM is the industry leading wireless test set for performing RF measurements with NB-IoT chipsets,” said Giampaolo Tardioli, vice president and general manager of Keysight's Wireless Chipset Segment. “Working with industry leaders, such as RDA, has allowed us to offer a complete and scalable solution that helps our customers achieve time-to-market and cost goals more quickly.”
“RDA has always cooperated greatly with Keysight, the NB-IoT RF performance test solution provided by Keysight has accelerated our engineers finding problems and extremely enhanced our R&D progress,” said Jingming Wang, the vice president of RDA research and development. “RDA will have deeper cooperation with Keysight in the future.”
