RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for API Technologies’ 345C single channel rotary joint. API rotary joints are used to transmit RF energy from a stationary RF source to a rotating RF line and find applications in military and commercial markets such as mobile satellite communication systems, radar systems including civil air traffic control, weather radars or anywhere rotational force might damage a transmission line.

The 345C operates from DC to 18 GHz using SMA coaxial connectors. VSWR is as low as 1.02:1. Capable of handling up to 500 W peak or 100 W average power, this rotary joint can handle up to 5 amps of DC current. The rotation rating of the API 345C is 100 RPM.
