Richardson Electronics Ltd. announced the availability of a new K-Band silicon SATCOM Rx quad-core integrated circuit from Anokiwave Inc.
The highly-integrated AWS-0102is intended for satellite communications applications. The device supports four dual-polarization radiating elements with full programmable polarization flexibility. It provides 22 dB gain with a noise figure of 3.4 dB. Additional features include gain compensation over temperature and temperature reporting.
The new IC offers ESD protection on all pins, operates from +1.8 V, and is packaged in a 56-lead, 7 mm x 7 mm PQFN for easy installation in planar phased array antennas.

- Flexible polarization (RHCP, LHCP, linear)
- 5-bit phase control (LSB=11.25°)
- 5-bit gain (LSB=0.5 dB, DR=15.5 dB)
