Advantech Wireless, a global leader for satellite broadband communications solutions, announced the release of the Second Generation GaN technology based 150 to 400 W X-Band Rackmmount SapphireBlu™ SSPA/SSPB for military and government applications.
Advantech Wireless has over 25 years of experience empowering military forces and government agencies, delivering cutting-edge innovations in communications that solve mission critical communications challenges. The new Super Compact SG Series Second Generation GaN based X-Band SSPA/BUCs provide the highest power density in the industry. These new systems are designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions as per MIL-STD-810G, while fully compliant with the Mil-STD188-165A electrical standard.
“These Second Generation GaN SSPAs/SSPBs are the most advanced units on the market. They provide up to 60 percent higher linearity compared to the first generation GaN, while at the same time reducing the energy consumption. The increased linearity will provide additional link budget margins in order to allow for higher data rate, higher modulation, or more carriers, as required today by the dynamics of Military SatCom traffic. These units are designed to replace older generation 750 W TWTs, with exceeding performance and lower OPEX cost,” mentioned Cristi Damian, VP business development at Advantech Wireless.
With full M&C capability via RS232, RS485 or Ethernet port and detachable power supply module, the new Second Generation GaN based 150 to 400 W X-Band Rackmmount SapphireBlu™ SSPAs/SSPBs provide the ultimate in performance and convenience.
