AT4 wireless has selected Anite’s Propsim F32 Channel Emulator for its first anechoic MIMO1 Over-the-Air (OTA) test laboratory in Spain, which has been set up to perform device testing compliant with CTIA certification requirements prior to market introduction.
AT4 wireless selected Anite’s Propsim F32 for its ability to support LTE and LTE-Advanced device testing of up to 32 channels in a single unit, thereby simplifying set-up and reducing cost. Independent test laboratories like AT4 wireless also benefit from Propsim’s emulation accuracy and quick test execution, leading to very reliable test results and fast device assessment.
The need for MIMO OTA performance testing is expected to increase with the rise of LTE devices containing multiple antennas, which enable mobile device users to access higher data rate services. OTA testing incorporates the device antenna performance by testing a wireless device without any connected cables. Anite’s portfolio of channel emulators is endorsed by all major systems integrators and enables users to comprehensively and quickly verify that mobile devices with multiple antennas meet expected industry requirements in an OTA test set-up.
Paul Beaver, Products Director at Anite’s Device & Infrastructure Testing business commented: “AT4 wireless’ selection of Anite for its first anechoic MIMO OTA test laboratory demonstrates our recognized expertise and technology leadership in the field of radio channel modeling.” He continued, “Users benefit from the Propsim F32’s ability to test Carrier Aggregation and MIMO capable devices with large form factors. This combined with the fact that it offers more than twice the emulation capacity compared to other products makes it highly future-proof and suitable for any MIMO OTA application.”
"AT4 wireless is pleased to be working with Anite and to be using its state-of-the-art Propsim F32 in our highly experienced OTA test laboratory, enabling us to fully address the demand for MIMO OTA testing. AT4 wireless continuously invests in test infrastructure to offer our customers leading ‘one stop shop’ services in our EMEA, APAC, North America and Latin American laboratories,” commented Fernando E. Hardasmal, Deputy General Director at AT4 wireless.
