Advantech Wireless Inc., a privately-held Canadian corporation and manufacturer of satellite, RF equipment and microwave systems announced the release of the new 2.5 kW TROPO C-Band Modular GaN based solid state power amplifier.
The new Advantech Wireless model ARMA-CL2500A, C-Band solid-state GaN based power amplifier operates over the low C-Band TROPO frequency of 4.4 to 5.0 GHz, and it is fully modular with built in redundancy for all critical RF and power supply modules.
These new modular solid state power amplifiers are designed to be used, as direct replacement of older generation Klystrons or TWTs. The most vital feature is its modular design. It allows plug in modules, as power supplies and RF modules to be hot-swapped without any interruption of service or noticeable reduction in power.
“We are proud to develop best in class innovations. Our TROPO line of GaN SSPAs is a perfect match for the new generation of high data rate, long haul, cost efficient communication links using tropo scattering technologies. This proves to be a viable solution when satellite links are either cost prohibitive or simply not available,” stated Cristi Damian, VP business development at Advantech Wireless.
The design of the ARMA Modular Amplifier is based on Advantech Wireless’ industry proven reliable solid state power amplifiers.
