Cuming Microwave announced a new microwave absorber for use in cavity resonance suppression between 800 MHz – 18 GHz. C-RAM™ RGD-S-192 is a thin, flexible, highly magnetically loaded silicone absorber used in applications where performance cannot be traded for a thicker material. C-RAM™ RGD-S-192 is standard at 0.040’’ (1.01 mm) thick and is ideal for suppressing waves within cavities of microwave modules and other electronics where physical space is limited. It’s available as a standard in 12’’x 12’’ sheets, other thicknesses, with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), and custom configurations. Samples are available upon request by contacting Cuming Microwave directly or your local manufacturer representative.
Mike Kocsik, General Manager of Cuming Microwave, says “Having a full line of absorbers for our customers to test and consider has always been a focus. The RGD-S-192 provides increased insertion loss performance while still maintaining a low profile. We expect it to be a go-to absorber for many of our customers working in the 800MHz – 18 GHz range.”
