NEC Corporation announced that its subsidiary NEC Saudi Arabia has opened a new office in Dubai in response to increased demand for reliable ICT social infrastructure. The new regional branch has begun operation and will strengthen NEC's presence in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Dubai plays an important role as a commercial hub for GCC member countries, which include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, and is attracting the attention of businesses around the world. By establishing a branch in Dubai, NEC is able to better respond to the increasing opportunities in growth areas such as telecommunications systems, public safety solutions, broadcast systems, smart education solutions and smart city solutions.
"The opening of our branch in Dubai is in line with our strategy to drive growth in emerging markets," said Noboru Takahashi, President of NEC Saudi Arabia. "There is tremendous potential for the adoption of ICT in GCC countries and this presents NEC with the opportunity to further contribute to the region with our extensive solutions portfolio."
