As general chair and vice-chair of the 2014 International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2014), we want to enthusiastically invite you to join us June 1-6, 2014 in Tampa, Florida. IMS encompasses an event-filled week of technical paper presentations, workshops, short courses, exhibits and networking opportunities – all of a scale and level of excellence that you will find nowhere else. As always, “Microwave Week” includes the RFIC and ARFTG conferences; although for the first time this year’s ARFTG will be combined with Florida’s own IEEE WAMICON which together will offer broader technical coverage, enhanced paper and presentation opportunities and a combined exhibitor area.
The RFIC Symposium brings focus to the technical accomplishments in RF circuits, systems and devices. This year’s exciting program will showcase the latest innovations in RF integrated circuit design with sessions that cover a broad spectrum of topics such as cellular and wireless-connectivity system ICs, low power transceivers, reconfigurable and digital RF, broadband wireless communications, silicon millimeter-wave ICs, power amplifier technology, and RF device modeling and characterization. For more information, visit www.rfic2013.org.
The Automatic RF Techniques Group (ARFTG) is a technical organization interested in all aspects of RF and microwave test and measurement. The most important part of the ARFTG experience is the opportunity to interact one-on-one with colleagues, experts and vendors of the RF and microwave test and measurement community. Whether your interests include high-throughput production or one-of-a-kind metrology measurements, complex systems or simple circuit modeling, small signal S-parameter or large-signal nonlinear measurements, phase noise or noise figure, DC or lightwave, you will find a kindred spirit or maybe even an expert. Visit www.arftg.org for more information.
The IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON) grew out of a series of very successful one-day forums organized by the University of South Florida Center for Wireless and Microwave Information Systems faculty, the WAMI Advisory Board, and the Florida West Coast IEEE MTT/AP/ED chapter. The goal of this conference, hosted annually in Florida, is to create a stimulating environment for the exchange of information about the status and directions of wireless and microwave technology and actions being taken by educators, industrial practitioners and governmental research agencies to address relevant challenges and move the technology forward. WAMICON is an excellent networking and information sharing event with a unique charm. WAMICON is now an international event that is technically and financially sponsored by the IEEE MTT Society. Visit www.wamicon.org for more information.
IMS 2014 is the premier event in the RF/microwave community. We plan to have a great week and your participation will be key to making IMS 2014 all that it promises to be. See you there!
