Coilcraft has launched an all-new Power Inductor Finder web tool that allows users to quickly find and compare inductors based on their exact operating conditions: current, ripple, frequency and ambient temperature. Combining elements of several other popular tools on the site, the new Power Inductor Finder instantly calculates core and winding losses, computes temperature rise, and plots L vs. I curves for up to six parts on the same graph.
Users of Coilcraft’s Power Inductor Finder can now search for a range of inductances, and then optimize search results for size, DC resistance, price, and other parameters. In addition to seeing performance at actual ambient temperature, they can also evaluate the effects of self-heating as current is applied.
The new tool also provides a better user experience with the ability to move and delete columns, view only selected products, see actual-size photos, export results to Excel or PDF file, and, as always with Coilcraft, request free evaluation samples.
