Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), the global wireless and broadcast infrastructure specialist, announced that wireless industry veteran and long-time RFS team member Al Filoreto has been promoted to eastern regional sales manager. In his new role, Filoreto’s top priorities are to widen and diversify the company’s customer base and to increase RFS’ brand name recognition in the market.
Filoreto has held positions in the wireless industry for more than 25 years and served in various sales roles at RFS since 2006, when he joined the company as a district sales manager. He has since supported sales across approximately one-third of the United States and demonstrated excellence in presales and supporting first-generation products. He was an integral part of the first North American deployment of RFS’ HYBRIFLEX hybrid feeder cabling solution for Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), which was an overwhelming success. Filoreto also notably sold over 800 sites for build-out that utilized RFS’ CELLFLEX Lite cable products.
“Al is trusted by his customers as a valuable resource and has proven time and again to have a deep understanding of what they need,” said Ray Bibisi, executive director, North America sales at RFS. “It is that type of expertise that will make him successful in this next phase of his career and we look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in his new role.”
Before joining RFS, Filoreto worked for Motorola, Hutton Communications and American Tower. He has a Bachelor of Science in Sales and Marketing from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and served in the United States Army. Filoreto has won several internal awards at RFS for high sales achievements.
“It has been a pleasure to build ongoing relationships with RFS’ customers over the past eight years and I feel my understanding of their industries will serve me well as eastern regional sales manager,” said Filoreto. “I am excited for the opportunity to help further RFS’ reputation for excellence within the wireless infrastructure industry and to continue to support our customers.”
