Two models of ultra wide band miniature PIN switch have just arrived at AtlanTecRF, each covering the entire 1.0 to 18.0 GHz frequency range.

The switches, SPST and SP2T, are both absorptive types and deliver in excess of 70 dB isolation while maintaining VSWR better than 2.0:1.

An additional feature of these high performance yet compact switches is the very fast sub 100 nanosecond switching time. This makes them suitable for a host of applications from EW systems through communications and radar to the microwave test bench.

“The SPST version measures just 20 x 16 x 5 mm and is believed to be the smallest PIN switch of its kind currently available,” said Geoff Burling, AtlanTecRF CEO, “These new switches represent incredible value to the microwave systems designer and are available off-the-shelf”.

Switching control is effected using TTL as both models contain integral drivers and can operate over the full military temperature range of -55° to +85°C.

Connectors are SMA female and DC supply requirements are +/-5 V.

Housings are laser sealed to ensure consistently high performance in harsh environments.
