A new AWR Customer Success Story details how North Carolina State University (NCSU) students enrolled in an advanced RF/microwave research and design course used AWR’s Microwave Office® and AXIEM® software to successfully complete their senior design project for a low-noise GPS amplifier and an X-Band power amplifier targeting the 8-10GHz frequency span.
“As a principal engineer developing MMIC devices, I mentor students in an undergraduate senior design class at NCSU. My students worked on designing an LNA and a microwave PA using AWR’s Microwave Office software. Needless to say, this is a challenge to undergraduate students to pursue, however, Microwave Office ease of use enabled them to succeed with these designs. Thanks go out to AWR for providing this opportunity.” Alan Victor, PhD, principal engineer, Nitronex LLC and student mentor, NCSU ECE.
