During 2006, Chelton Telecom & Microwave decided to focus on just three important shows, with European Microwave Week being an automatic choice. With its European coverage and high profile in the microwave industry, it is one of the shows that counts and where we, as a company, want to exhibit to remind customers and suppliers of our vast range of microwave products, our strong expertise, and our experience working with both global and local companies.
What’s more, it is important for European companies to have an exhibition close to their market and to provide customers and suppliers with the opportunity to share their views and know-how. It also offers a good insight into local market opportunities. The Show is the best way to discover European creativity, along with new or alternative solutions in the field of RF and microwave technologies, which is alive and kicking. Also, at a global level, Europe is strong in many sectors, so can you imagine not having a European microwave event? No way!
Over the years, European Microwave Week has attracted a wide audience due to the number of leading exhibitors and the development of the high level conferences where industrial involvement is just as important as academic involvement. Chelton Telecom & Microwave participates in the conferences as well as the exhibition. This year we co-present a session entitled A Physics-Based Nonlinear model of Microwave P-I-N Diode for CAD on Wednesday 13 September.
For us and EuMW the key challenge is to make the event successful by enabling customers and engineers to discover new technologies, new product and do profitable business. To do so it is necessary to anticipate market movements in terms of: applications – from military applications such as radars, radio links to telecom, etc; environmental requirements (space) or RoHS; addressing quantities versus price, as the approach to markets is changing dramatically; developing technologies to meet technical trends with dedicated high reliability and low cost products; and meet the huge increase of satellite payload requests. Chelton Telecom & Microwave believes the key word is ‘reactivity’.
The company will demonstrate its own reactivity to the market on Stand 439 at EuMW where, as a Cobham Avionics & Surveillance division company, it will exhibit alongside all the Cobham companies on one stand. Chelton Telecom & Microwave will demonstrate its large expertise in RF and microwave systems and components and its capabilities in systems, RF filters and duplexers, diodes and modules, ferrite devices and waveguide. In particular, look out for the 10 MHz – 40 GHz RF and microwave filters and duplexers, 10 MHz – 18 GHz Silicon PIN diodes and modules, 27 MHz – 40 GHz ferrite isolators and circulators, and sub-systems and systems integration for space, radar, telecom and industrial applications.
