Microwave Marketing and Linwave Technology have jointly moved into Marlin Building by Karl McCartney, Member of Parliament for Lincoln, from 3 sites in the local Doddington Rd area. Mr McCartney took time to meet staff and customers during tour of the facility and product presentations.
During the opening presentations, the MP added “it’s an exciting integration of Microwave Marketing and Linwave Technology on a single site and good to see the growth of a local Lincoln business serving the U.K and Europe’s RF requirements in the high technology areas of commercial, aerospace, defence & medical applications”.
Chris Carr, CEO, expressed sincere thanks to Linwave MD Ian Duke for his role in driving the project to completion and the larger team of suppliers and customers that have assisted.
The event saw attendance of key customers, suppliers and support partners to both businesses, taking the opportunity to gain a more detailed insight into the products and capabilities on offer.
The new facility on Sadler Rd. will house the 50 staff over two floors on a purpose built high tech site covering 11,000 sq ft on a one acre site with further 0.5 acres retained for future expansion.
Internally the site offers a mix of manufacturing, clean room, design lab, office, stores and meeting space - all specifically geared to the business requests. The project and site have been delivered as a turnkey solution by Stirlin Developments with a team of local trades to a very high standard - befitting the high tech nature of both businesses. The seven month project was delivered for hand over on June 1st, meeting both time and financial targets fully. Architectural design support came from LK2 from Nettleham and funding from HSBC.
Carr commented, "The site forms a key part of our growth strategy, supporting our high calibre staff with state of the art design labs and manufacturing clean room facilities, whilst expanding our capability to handle larger and more complex projects from an expanding customer base. It’s a great reward for the whole team that have continued to absorb the demands of expanding customer needs with great drive and enthusiasm"
