Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that its long-term relationship with AMCAD Engineering has been extended to include a technology partnership for services related to nonlinear design and measurement of new electronic devices.
AMCAD uses Agilent’s Advanced Design System with simulators for nonlinear modeling, and a test system based on Agilent’s PNA-X microwave network analyzer for nonlinear measurement. These two complementary Agilent design flows allow the company to provide customers with advanced, high-power device models accompanied by fast, robust, accurate, and complete simulation and measurement capabilities. AMCAD also provides load pull systems that integrate Agilent test equipment.
“AMCAD complements our nonlinear design and measurement solutions with a wide range of services that enable customers to implement complex models in test systems,” said Agilent technical manager Cécile Perier.
“I am extremely pleased that our long-term relationship with AMCAD—both in design and measurement—brings tremendous value to our common customers,” added Thierry Locquette, a sales manager for Agilent EEsof EDA. “Providing customers with accurate models and robust design and simulation tools is key to their success.”
“We are very pleased to work with a partner like Agilent, the worldwide leader for RF and microwave design and measurement tools,” said Stéphane Dellier, RF and microwave project leader with AMCAD Engineering. “Its expertise in nonlinear measurement and modeling is invaluable to our customers.”
