Anritsu Co., a leader in handheld test solutions for public safety networks, is displaying at IWCE 2012 its field test solutions that can be used by field engineers and technicians to successfully deploy, install and maintain first-responder wireless networks, including narrowband FM, P25, DMR and NXDN, plus broadband LTE and WiMAX. The LMR Master™, Site Master™ cable and antenna analyzers, Spectrum Master™ handheld spectrum analyzers, MT9090 Network Master and MT9083A ACCESS Master™ OTDR will be on display in Anritsu’s booth (#2051) throughout the show, to be held in Las Vegas, February 22-23.
“Anritsu is committed to providing highly portable and integrated test solutions to police, fire, EMS, military and homeland security professionals tasked with deploying and maintaining critical infrastructure networks that can help save lives, reduce injuries, and prevent acts of crime and terror. At IWCE, we will showcase how our handheld instruments can be used to ensure the operation of these mission critical networks,” said David Witkowski, Product Manager, Anritsu Co.
At the center of Anritsu’s product offering for public safety applications is the S412E LMR Master, the only handheld analyzer that can test both narrowband LMR and broadband WiMAX/LTE signals. The S412E combines a high-performance receiver/spectrum analyzer with a handheld vector network analyzer, plus a land mobile radio signal generator with internally adjustable power from 0 to –120 dBm. It is ideal for technicians and engineers testing the RF performance of narrowband (FM, P25, NXDN and DMR) and broadband (LTE and WiMAX) public safety radio systems. In addition, the S412E offers support for emerging Positive Train Control systems.
In addition to being shown in the Anritsu booth, the S412E will be on display in the Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG) booth (#6108). The S412E will be used as part of a demonstration by the non-profit trade association composed of public safety professionals and equipment manufacturers.
Also on display in Anritsu’s booth will be the MS2713E and MS2726C Spectrum Master analyzers, equipped with Anritsu’s interference mapping feature. Interference Mapping eliminates the need for printed maps and drawn lines to triangulate the interfering signal. Files can be saved as in industry-standard KML format for easy viewing with tools such as Google Earth™. Two Site Master models – the S362E for cable and antenna analysis and the S820D for microwave backhaul applications, including waveguide analysis – will be shown with the MA24108A and MS2411A power sensors as well.
For high-speed backhaul installation and maintenance featuring optical cables, Anritsu will be displaying the MT9090 and MT9083A ACCESS Master OTDR. Small, lightweight and easy-to-use, the MT9090 µOTDR features 5 cm resolution, dead zones of less than 1 meter and a built-in 10 m launch fiber. A Test Automator makes it simple to set up a sequence of tests that require only one key press to initiate. ACCESS Master provides all the measurement functions and performance for optical fiber construction and maintenance in a compact, lightweight, all-in-one unit that eliminates the burden of carrying many different test sets and instruments on-site.
