MITEQ Inc. introduces Model AMF-4D-02002650-90-20P to its family of rugged, single bias ultra-broadband coaxial amplifiers. This amplifier has over 25 dB of gain from 2.0 to 26.5 GHz, in a housing that is only 1” long and 0.83” wide without the field replaceable 2.92 mm connectors. Gain flatness is a maximum of ±2.5 dB, though typical is ±2.0 dB. The AMF-4D-02002650-90-20P has a maximum noise figure of 9.0 dB in the full band, though the typical value is near 6.0 dB.
This amplifier operates from -40 to +75°C of base temperature, has a P1dB minimum of +20 dBm, IP3 is typically +26 dBm, and a current draw of maximum 450 mA from a single +15V DC supply. Port VSWR is typically less than 2:1 for both input and output.
Composite metal body with a CuW base provides excellent thermal characteristics while hermetic sealing option is available if required. With its built-in sequencing, regulation and reverse bias and over-temperature and over-current protection, only a single positive bias is required. Frequency options from as low as 100 MHz to as high as 40 GHz are available.
