Nokia has signed a deal with Vodafone Hungary for the supply of its FlexiHopper Plus microwave radio solution to increase the capacity of the company’s existing nationwide network. This new variant of the successful microwave family enables operators to reduce the occupied frequency spectrum by half, resulting in significant savings and enabling them to double the capacity within the existing frequency channel. Added to that is the flexibility to adapt to future transmission needs.
Commenting on the agreement, Pekka Soini, senior vice president, Radio Networks, Nokia Networks, said, “We are happy to further enhance our close cooperation with Vodafone, which began in 1993. This deal reinforces the commitment of both companies to continue developing the best transmission services for subscribers.”
