EADS Test & Services has acquired the company Get Electronique based in Castres near Toulouse, France. This small-size company specializes in services in industrial electronics and brings EADS Test & Services additional competencies in electronics repair, maintenance and sustainability for activities aimed at prolonging the service life of systems and installations in such industries as aeronautics, defence, transport and energy.
Get Electronique will become a 100 percent subsidiary of EADS Test & Services. Also, managing director of EADS Test & Services France, Bernard Désaphi, will become Get's new chairman. Get's managing director is Jean-Marie Peyriguer, former chairman of Get. In 2005, the new subsidiary generated revenues of Euro 2.5 M and currently employs 27 people.
Through this acquisition, EADS Test & Services reinforces its competencies in services for sustaining and prolonging electronics products. As part of the EADS Group, Get Electronique will find new market opportunities in the aeronautic, defence and space industries while maintaining its traditional industrial electronics markets (robots, control and command systems, engine control systems, speed control systems, power electronics).
