Hittite’s New Wideband PA Module Covers 0.1 to 20 GHz! Ideal for Microwave Radio, VSAT, Broadband Test Equipment, Military & Space and Fiber Optics.
Hittite Microwave Corp., the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced a new wideband power amplifier module for use in microwave radio, VSAT, military & space, fiber optic and broadband test equipment applications from 100 MHz to 20 GHz.
The HMC-C057 is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC Power Amplifier packaged in a miniature hermetic module with replaceable SMA connectors. The amplifier provides 12 dB of gain, up to +36 dBm output IP3 and up to +28 dBm of output power at 1 dB gain compression. Specified for operation from 0 to +85ºC, the HMC-C057 exhibits excellent gain flatness from 2 to 12 GHz, making it ideal for EW, ECM, radar, fiber optic and test equipment applications. The wideband amplifier I/Os are internally matched to 50 Ohms and are DC blocked. Integrated voltage regulators allow for flexible biasing of both the negative and positive supply pins, while the internal bias sequencing circuitry assures robust operation.
The HMC-C057 can also be combined with the HMC-C056 Active x2 Multiplier to extend the performance of the previously released HMC-T2000 Synthesized Signal Generator. The HMC-C056 extends the upper frequency of operation of the HMC-T2000 from 8 to 16 GHz, while the HMC-C057 boosts the output power up to +28 dBm.
All connectorized module products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order.
