GaAs MMIC Power Amplifier XP1072-BD
Mimix Broadband, Inc. Introduces 34 to 37 GHz GaAs MMIC Power Amplifier. Delivering 4W Saturated Output Power. Device Achieves 22 dB Gain and 25% Power Added Efficiency.
February 23, 2009, Houston, Texas – Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces today a GaAs MMIC high power amplifier with +35 dBm pulsed saturated output power and 22 dB large signal gain. This power amplifier, identified as XP1072-BD, covers 34 to 37 GHz and achieves 25% power added efficiency (PAE). The device is well suited for millimeter-wave military, radar, satellite and weather applications.
"This XP1072-BD multi-stage amplifier delivers industry leading power and efficiency for Ka-band applications, with a saturated output power of nearly 4 Watts, providing a boost to applications that require both high power and efficiency in a small area,” stated Jeff Kovitz, Product Manager, Mimix Broadband, Inc. “It also serves as the foundation for our balanced +37 dBm XP1073-BD device, and, in conjunction with our XP1017-BD driver amplifier, it provides an excellent solution for many Ka-band high power amplifier requirements.”
Mimix performs 100% RF testing on the XP1072-BD. Samples and production quantities are available in eight weeks. Technical support is also available from Mimix’s applications engineers at 281.988.4600. The datasheet and additional product information can be obtained from the Mimix Broadband website.
