M/A-COM Technology to Exhibit New Optoelectronics Products at ECOC 2011
Company to showcase integrated driver solutions for 100 G DP-QPSK applications.
Lowell, MA, September 16, 2011 - M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (M/A-COM Tech), a leading supplier of high performance analog semiconductor solutions, announced today that it will showcase its expanded Optomai optoelectronics product line at theEuropean Conference on Optical Communications(ECOC). The conference is being held from September 19 - 21 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Two new modulator driver amplifiers for 100G DP-QPSK applications, are now available in industry-leading small form factor packages. The MAOM-003104 is a quad-channel driver in a 25x40x6.5 mm package with GPPO connectors. The MAOM-003106 is a dual-channel driver in a 10x10x2.3 mm surface mount package. Both devices have market-leading performance, with ultra-low jitter. The parts feature output voltage up to 8 Vpp and gain of more than 30 dB. Rise and fall times are better than 11 ps, with data rates up to 32 Gbps.
M/A-COM Tech offers an extensive portfolio of modulator drivers and transimpedance amplifiers (TIA) for high-speed optical communications. The optoelectronics products for 10, 40 and 100 Gb/s have been developed using the company’s innovative and proprietary IC design. The packaging technology offers high performance solutions with small size and low cost. These drivers and TIAs are compatible with industry-leading optical modulators and photodiodes, and have been developed to comply with industry standards as stated by the OIF, IEEE, and industry MSAs.
M/A-COM Tech offers its Optomai products for both line and client side applications, including:
• EML drivers for 10 G, 28 G and 40 G
• Indium Phosphide MZ drivers for 10 G, 22.3 G
• Lithium Niobate MZ drivers for 10 G, 22.3 G and 32 G
• Single and dual-channel TIAs for 10 G, 22.3 G, 28 G and 32 G
