New Signal Generator
Hittite will introduce the HMC-T2270, our first 10 MHz to 70 GHz Synthesized Signal Generator. This unique and powerful signal generator was designed to support the exploding market for communication and sensor equipment operating at millimeterwave frequencies. At an output frequency of 70 GHz, the HMC-T2270 exhibits low -77 dBc/Hz phase noise, better than -46 dBc spurious output, and up to +2 dBm of output power at 70 GHz. Also on display at the show will be the HMC-T2000, HMC-T2100, HMC-T2220, and HMC-T2240 family of Synthesized Signal Generators.

New Industry Leading Wideband PLL with Integrated VCO
The HMC830LP6GE is an industry leading low noise, wide band, Fractional-N Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) with integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) that is the ultimate choice for designers looking for a single, superior performance, multi-purpose, multi-application device that can cover a wide frequency range. Ideal for wideband multi-carrier, multi-standard cellular base stations as it can be used in up or down conversion, as a low jitter clock LO generator, or as a tunable reference source for spurious free performance. It is also ideal for high QAM microwave point-to-point links, software defined radios and communications test equipment. It is capable of generating continuous frequencies from 25 MHz to 3000 MHz and features synthesizer Figure of Merit of -230 /-227 dBc/Hz in integer and fractional modes, respectively. Double sideband RMS jitter is less than 180 fs and the noise floor is -171 dBc/Hz in fundamental mode at 2 GHz.

Direct Conversion Receiver
The explosion of data in wireless infrastructure and microwave backhaul radios puts enormous pressure on equipment manufacturers to create flexible cost effective linear radios that can carry the required traffic. The solution is a compact universal wideband multi-standard, multi-carrier, radio capable of processing complex constellation signals in a crowded environment. Hittite’s direct conversion receiver line-up combines new wideband components and techniques to achieve excellent system level performance: high linearity, low noise, high image rejection, very low phase noise, accurate gain control, selectivity, flat amplitude & group delay response, adjustable bandwidth, low clock jitter and low power high dynamic range ADCs.

High Speed Multi-Mode ADC
The HMCAD1520, a High Speed, Multi-mode ADC which provides up to 12-bit resolution at up to 640 MSPS. When operated in precision mode, the HMCAD1520 provides an excellent solution for a wide variety of wireless communication applications due to its impressive resolution, sampling rate, SNR and SFDR specifications. An integrated 1- 8X clock divider, will allow the system clock to be applied directly to the ADC, which simplifies the system design and reduces BOM cost. A combination of low power consumption, configurable number of channels, integrated cross point switches and wide range digital gain also make it an ideal choice in USB powered oscilloscopes and other test and instrumentation products. The HMCAD1520 can switch between High Speed mode and Precision mode with SPI settings. This unique feature allows the user to change the resolution and speed of the ADC with no hardware changes. The HMCAD1520 ADC is housed in a 7 x 7 mm plastic leadless SMT package. The HMCAD1520 ADC can be evaluated with the Hittite EasySuite™ evaluation kits, EKIT01-AD1520 which is based on Xilinx® FMC (FPGA Mezzanine Card) SP601 standard motherboards, and feature Hittite evaluation boards with on-board ADCs connected to the Xilinx® board through an FMC connector. Hittite’s pre-loaded EasyStack™ firmware performs FPGA processing, while the EasySuite™ PC software tool performs ADC configuration, data capture and performance analysis.

MMIC Power Amplifier
The HMC995LP5GE is a 12.5 to 15.5 GHz, pHEMT MMIC Power Amplifier which delivers +34 dBm output P1dB, +41 dBm output IP3, and 28 dB of small signal gain. The HMC995LP5GE operates from a +7 V supply, is housed in a convenient 5 x 5 mm SMT QFN leadless package and requires no external matching components. The HMC995LP5GE features an integrated output power detector and is ideal for Ku-band VSAT and high capacity point to point digital radio applications.Voltage Variable Attenuator
The HMC985 is an absorptive Voltage Variable Attenuator (VVA) which operates from 20 - 50 GHz and is ideal in designs where RF power levels must be controlled by an analog DC control signal. This high linearity VVA exhibits +33 dBm input IP3, and provides up to 35 dB of attenuation range. The HMC985 is ideal for applications in Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and in temperature compensation circuits.

Linear Voltage Regulator
The HMC976LP3E is a BiCMOS ultra low noise linear voltage regulator which largely surpasses the performance of available linear voltage regulators on the market. The HMC976LP3E delivers up to 400 mA of current, a Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) of less than -60 dB at 1 kHz offset, and provides extremely low output noise spectral densities of 6 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz offset and 3 nV/√Hz at 10 kHz. Ideal for point-to-point microwave systems, high precision test instrumentation, cellular basestation infrastructure and military applications; the HMC976LP3E can also be incorporated into VCO and PLL designs to significantly improve system phase noise performance and facilitate the high SNR needed for signals with a dense constellation. The regulator is housed in a 3 x 3 mm QFN SMT package.

Tunable Filters
The HMC894LP5E and HMC899LP4E are tunable MMIC Band-Pass Filters (BPF) with adjustable center frequencies from 5.9 to 11.2 GHz, and 18.5 to 37 GHz, respectively. A 0 V to +14 V control signal sets the pass-band center frequency, with a tuning response time of only 200 ns. The HMC894LP5E and HMC899LP4E exhibit low microphonics due to the monolithic design and provide a dynamically adjustable solution in advanced communications applications.

Downconverter/Receiver
The HMC977LP4E is a compact GaAs MMIC I/Q Downconverter/Receiver in a leadless 4 x 4 mm RoHS compliant SMT package. The HMC977LP4E operates with RF frequencies from 20 - 28 GHz, and delivers 14 dB of conversion gain, with a noise figure of only 2.7 dB. The HMC977LP4E incorporates a subharmonic architecture which accepts LO frequencies from 8.3 to 15.7 GHz, which greatly simplifies the LO frequency chain. The HMC977LP4E is a much smaller alternative to hybrid style image reject mixer downconverter assemblies and is compatible with surface mount manufacturing techniques.

Analog Phase Shifter
The HMC935LP5E is an Analog Phase Shifter which is controlled by a positive voltage from 0.5 to +11V, and provides a continuously variable phase shift of 0 to 180 degrees from 2 to 20 GHz. The HMC935LP5E exhibits low insertion loss and the phase shift is monotonic with respect to control voltage. This wideband phase shifter is housed in a RoHS compliant 5 x 5 mm QFN leadless package and is well suited for beamforming and phase cancellation applications.

Fractional-N PLL
The HMC703LP4E is a DC to 8 GHz, very low noise fractional synthesizer that offers superb phase noise performance of -112 dBc/Hz at an offset of 50 kHz and a VCO frequency of 8 GHz in fractional mode. Its Floor Figure of Merit is -230 dBc/Hz in fractional mode; a performance that is typically 10 dB better than its closest competitor. The HMC703LP4E features Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) modulation as well as bi-phase modulation and also features a built-in sweeper mode that supports external or automatic triggered sweeps. The phase coherent frequency sweep mode can be used in test instrumentation, Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) sensors and automotive radars. Also ideal for driving Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) used in Microwave Point-to-Point Radios, the HMC703LP4E is housed in a 4 x 4 mm plastic QFN SMT package.

Microwave PLL with Integrated VCO
The HMC778LP6CE is a fully functioned Fractional-N Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) with an Integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO). The wide input reference frequency range and the advanced delta-sigma modulator design in the fractional PLL allows both ultra-fine step sizes and very low spurious products. The high output power of the HMC778LP6CE makes it ideal for driving the LO port of many of Hittite’s high linearity and I/Q mixer products. The HMC778LP6CE is packaged in a leadless QFN 6 x 6 mm surface mount package.

RMS Power Detector
The HMC1030LP5E is a dual-channel RMS power detector designed for high accuracy RF power signal measurement and control applications in Cellular/3G, LTE/WiMAX/4G, broadband, test equipment and military applications from 0.1 to 3.9 GHz. The device can be used with input signals having RMS values from -60 dBm to +10 dBm referenced to 50 Ohm and large crest factors with no accuracy degradation. The HMC1030LP5E provides two linear-in-dB detection outputs with scaled slopes of 37 mV/dB and is capable of providing a read of average input signal power, or true-RMS power. The HMC1030LP5E operates from a single +5V supply and is housed in a 5 x 5 mm SMT package.

Variable Gain Amplifiers
The HMC742HFLP5E and the HMC625HFLP4E are Digital Variable Gain Amplifiers (DVGAs) which are rated from 0.5 – 4 GHz, and 0.5 - 6 GHz, respectively. Both of these high linearity DVGAs provide 31.5 dB of gain control range in 0.5 dB steps, and cover all of the EUTRAN frequency bands making them ideal for multi-band, multi-standard Base Transceiver Station (BTS) applications in 3G, LTE, and 4G systems. The HMC742HFLP5E and the HMC625HFLP4E are housed in compact QFN leadless packages, and feature a common dual mode gain control interface which accepts either a three-wire serial input or a 6-bit parallel word.
