Rohde & Schwarz ZVL is first to combine vector network analyzer and spectrum analyzer in a single instrument
Honolulu, HI IMS 2007 June 5, 2007 -- Rohde & Schwarz today introduced the R&S ZVL Series, the first solution to combine a full-featured vector network analyzer with a spectrum analyzer in a single portable instrument. It is also the smallest and lightest portable vector network analyzer on the market, and is available in frequency ranges from 9 kHz to 3 GHz or 6 GHz. The R&S ZVL has dynamic range of 123 dB, bidirectional measurement capability, powerful analysis functions such as multi-trace display, as well as extensive marker functions that make it well suited for measurement of base station duplex filters. It weighs only 15.4 lb. and operates from either AC or battery power, which makes it an excellent choice for field service applications as well. The R&S ZVL can be operated remotely via its 100BaseT Ethernet or optional GPIB interfaces. When configured with the optional spectrum analysis capabilities, the R&S ZVL can perform both reflection and spectral measurements such as adjacent-channel power or third-order intercept, as well as measurement of UMTS, WLAN, or WiMAX signals. With the optional spectrum analysis capability and an R&S power sensor, the R&S ZVL adds power measurement to its portfolio, providing an even more cost-effective measurement solution. Both R&S ZVL models, covering 9 kHz to 3 GHz or 9 kHz to 6 GHz, as well as the spectrum analysis option, are available now from Rohde & Schwarz.
