Aeroflex First to Deliver EvDO Rev. A Signal Conformance Solution
Burnham, UK - November 14, 2006- Aeroflex today announced it is offering a comprehensive EvDO Rev. A signaling conformance solution following the delivery of a fully automated C.S0038-A-compliant suite of test cases for its 6402 CDMA AIME network emulator. Aeroflex is the first company to provide this solution. The addition of the C.S0038-A EvDO Rev. A signaling conformance test suite significantly extends the capability of the Aeroflex 6402 CDMA AIME, which already supports conformance tests for 1x, EvDO Rev. 0, mobile IP and location-based services. "We have designed the C.S0038-A EvDO Rev. A test cases to be fully automated, so that they can be run with minimum operator intervention and without the need for separate diagnostic tools or specialized drivers," said Bruce Jolly, CDMA product manager, Aeroflex Test Solutions, Wireless Division. "This makes their set-up and execution quick, simple and painless for all customers." The addition of EvDO Rev. A technology to networks improves data rates and provides advanced-quality service capabilities, which better facilitates video streaming and VoIP applications. Aeroflex's aggressive introduction of a signaling conformance test capability is in direct response to industry demand for early access to test solutions to ensure the timely and successful roll out of EvDO Rev. A devices and applications. Verizon Wireless and many other test labs have recently acquired Aeroflex's EvDO Rev. A signaling conformance test solution. The C.S0038-A EvDO Rev.A signaling conformance test capability is shipping immediately on all new purchases of the Aeroflex 6402 CDMA AIME network emulator and is also available as an upgrade to existing systems.
