Sonnet® Software Inc. announces its plans to co-host the 175th birth anniversary celebration of James Clerk Maxwell at this year’s MTT-S International Microwave Symposium in San Francisco, CA. Other co-hosts include the IMS committee and Computer Simulation Technology (CST). This event will be held on the evening of Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the San Francisco Marriott located adjacent to the Moscone Convention Center. Tuesday, June 13, 2006 marks the 175th birth anniversary of James Clerk Maxwell, founder of the field of electromagnetics. James Clerk Maxwell stands shoulder to shoulder with Newton and Einstein, yet many who have spent decades working with Maxwell's equations are almost totally unfamiliar with his life and times. During this extraordinary event where one of the most influential and far-reaching natural philosophers will be remembered, Dr. James C. Rautio, president and founder of Sonnet Software Inc. and MTT-S Distinguished Microwave Lecturer, will present the Life of James Clerk Maxwell. Dr. Rautio will explore and provide insight into Maxwell the person in order to add an extra dimension to those four simple equations that have been studied ever since.
Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration. Complimentary food, drinks and cake will be served immediately following the presentation. Refreshments are hosted by Sonnet Software Inc. and CST.
