Cambridge Consultants announced that it has been appointed by ip.access, an award-winning developer of femtocell and picocell solutions, to help with the development of a range of femtocell technologies targeted at new uses and applications. ip.access turned to Cambridge Consultants due to its extensive experience and expertise in wireless development - through its work in a huge variety of wireless technologies and markets Cambridge Consultants has grown into one of the largest independent wireless development teams in the world.

Mobile World Congress 2011
As well as discussing the ip.acceess announcement, Cambridge Consultants will be demonstrating a range of new and existing technologies and platforms at Mobile World Congress 2011. Cambridge Consultants has been active in the emerging technology area of Whitespace radio, and will be demonstrating its UK Whitespaces database.
Cambridge Consultants will also be showcasing the latest version of its Bluetooth accessory development toolkit that can provide support for Apple authenticated accessories for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This toolkit targets accessories that are more than just audio accessories, enabling smartphone integration with almost any product.
Lastly, Cambridge Consultants is demonstrating Centaur, its comprehensive GSM/GPRS/EDGE/E-EDGE physical layer (PHY) reference design. The novel reference design enables the development of advanced cellular base stations and femtocells that incorporate 2G and 2.75G capability, addressing the ultra low-cost, mass-market and integration requirements of the developing world.
