Auriga Microwave recently secured two contracts with Department of Defense prime contractors. The work product from the two contracts will be derived from Auriga’s ongoing successful efforts within the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program.
“This is incredibly exciting for us, as these contracts validate our efforts in building leading-edge, high performance amplifiers,” said Bruce Cohen, CEO and President of Auriga. “Commercializing SBIR-funded amplifier technology is proof that the SBIR program works. Without SBIR funding, we could not have researched and developed the products that we expect will ultimately give our warfighters enhanced capabilities.”
“I want to congratulate Bruce and all of the employees at Auriga for receiving this competitive contract from the Department of Defense through the SBIR program,” said Congresswoman Niki Tsongas. “Auriga’s innovative technology is helping to create jobs right here in Lowell while simultaneously meeting the needs of our nation’s military. This is an excellent example of the impact that the SBIR program is having in Massachusetts and why the program must be extended.”
