Times Microwave Systems has recently announced the availability of the EZ-500-NMH-X type N no-solder male (plug) straight connector for LMR-500 low loss coaxial cable. The new crimp-style connector does not require soldering of the center conductor into the contact making it perfect for field installations and they also do not require braid trimming!  The EZ-500-NMH-X is compatible with the CST-500 cable prep tool and the HX-4 (with Y151 dies) crimp tool.

Skyworks Solutions Inc. introduced a 0.7 to 1.2 GHz, single-die cascode, GaAs, PHEMT LNA for cellular infrastructure applications such as tower-mounted amplifiers, remote radio units, repeaters and base stations. The LNA offers very low noise figure and high linearity along with excellent return loss and gain flatness.

The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems a three-year, $171 million contract to continue providing engineering and integration support to its Fleet Ballistic Missile Program. The work will focus on the Navy’s Trident II D-5 submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

Exelis has received a contract valued at more than $8 million to provide transportable, precision ground control approach capabilities to the Estonian armed forces. The GCA-2020 radar system will enable Estonia Ämari Air base, one of NATO's most modern bases, to support NATO exercises, contingencies and humanitarian efforts.
