RuSat is launching a new satellite broadband service using Newtec’s latest VSAT hub and end-user terminal technology.

Boeing recently achieved two important milestones on the U.S. Air Force Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T) program, which will provide protected wideband satellite communications among ground and airborne terminals for the command and control of U.S. nuclear forces.

ViaSat Inc. has received orders in excess of $11 million for Joint IP Modem Network Control Centers (NCCs), remote modems, and Joint IP Modem enhancements. These production contracts enable the Department of Defense to complete its roll out of interoperable network services to warfighters from teleports and Strategic Tactical Entry Points (STEPs). In addition, the orders include further development of the Joint IP Modem to enable efficient regional connectivity within a larger global network footprint. These awards follow successfully deliveries against previous contract obligations.

Space Data Corp. and Lemko Corp. announce the successful deployment of the world's first satellite-based commercial LTE network. The network was deployed in Atqasuk, Alaska and offers subscribers mobile broadband data speeds of over 70 Mbps. LTE over satellite is uniquely enabled by Lemko's patented DiMoWiNe (Distributed Mobile Wireless Network) software solution.

Eutelsat Communication has selected Thales Alenia Space to build the EUTELSAT 8 West B satellite, which will boost satellite broadcasting resources in the Middle East and North Africa.
