Astriumand OHB System AG have signed a €344 million contract for the development, construction and launch of a high performance radar satellite for the ‘SARah’ satellite-based reconnaissance system.

Rockwell Collins has received a $2 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to develop and demonstrate a secure software defined radio (SDR) Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver capability.

DiTom Microwave has received a contract from a major U.S. satellite manufacturing company for thermal vacuum (TVAC) compatible X- and Ka-Band isolators. Under the contract agreement, DiTom will supply ferrite isolators for the Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) program. 

South Korea's Kompsat-5 Earth observation satellite was successfully launched from the Dombarovsky Launch Site, Yasny, Russia. Thales Alenia Space developed the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) payload system under contract to the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).

Comtech Telecommunications Corp.announced that its Santa Clara, CA-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology Inc., has received an additional $1.4 million in orders to supply solid-state high-power amplifiers to a military integrator. The orders included X-band, C-Band and Ku-band SSPA products for use in highly mobile satellite communications (SATCOM) systems providing voice, data, video conferencing, internet and high resolution video connectivity for military forces deployed world-wide.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Melville, New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., has received $1.9 million of orders for high-power amplifiers from a leading provider of aviation electronics and communication systems.
