Mercury Systems Inc. announced it received a $2.8 million order from a leading defense prime contractor for precision-engineered RF modules integrated into an advanced radar system. The order was booked in the company's fiscal 2018 second quarter and is expected to be shipped over the next several quarters.
Mercury's broad range of commercial RF and microwave solutions include sophisticated components, densely integrated multi-function modules and custom-engineered subsystems. With state-of-the-art design and manufacturing capability at its two domestic Advanced Microelectronics Centers, all of the company's RF and microwave solutions are designed to achieve the most stringent size, weight and power (SWaP) requirements without sacrificing ruggedness or affordability.
"We are honored to support this critical military program with SWaP-optimized RF modules engineered to withstand the harshest operating environments encountered by our military forces," said Kevin Beals, vice president and general manager of Mercury's RF and Microwave group. "The scalable infrastructure of our Advanced Microelectronics Centers combined with Mercury's next-generation business model uniquely positions us to deliver affordable commercial innovations that matter to our national defense interests."
