Ipswich, MA—December 23, 2010--San-tron, Inc., a manufacturer of RF coaxial connectors and cable assemblies, has released “An Introduction to eSMA Connectors and Cable Assemblies,” a video in which San-tron’s Director of Engineering, Fred Hull, talks about the company’s revolutionary technology used in their eSMA connectors and cable assemblies. The video is the second installment in a series of informative videos designed to educate engineers about San-tron’s innovative connector designs.

In this video, Fred details the improvements of eSMA cable assemblies over the standard semi-rigid assemblies as a drop-in solution. Specifically highlighted are the engineering decisions that make San-tron’s eSMA connectors more robust, repeatable, and survivable, while capable of performing up to 20 GHz. Design innovations include the extended crimp ferrule, positive cable stop, enhanced coupling nut retention, single-point application solder termination, and extended frequency range. San-tron’s eSMAs also feature captivated, pre-set center contacts that are EZ style, solder free connections. In the video, Fred explains how these enhancements not only improve performance, but also are less costly to manufacture, and easy to drop-in to a number of applications.
