Horizon House and Microwave Journal announced the pending launch of Microwave Journal China, a print magazine serving the RF & microwave and wireless electronics industry in China. The first issue is scheduled to premiere in January 2012 with content provided by leading global companies from the RF & microwave component sector. Company representatives from the magazine’s US headquarters and new China operations in Hong Kong will be attending the International Conference & Exhibition on Microwave and Antenna in Shanghai to introduce the new venture.
"Microwave Journal has been the leading source of technical and business information for the working microwave professional for over 50 years. As the sole peer reviewed trade magazine dedicated to microwave technology, readers from around the world have come to rely on the Journal for novel, relevant and accurate reporting on the state of technology," said publisher Carl Sheffres. "With the regional development of microwave technology in markets such as China, we feel the time is right to offer this growing audience access to our content in Chinese, while serving as a vehicle for international companies looking to expand into this growing market."
In 2012, Microwave Journal plans to publish 6 times and will have an initial circulation of 10,000 engineers and engineering managers in China. The magazine will be offered for free to qualified subscribers. A related web site and electronic newsletter are planned for launch later in the year.
