Wired and wireless connectivity product manufacturer, L-com Inc., has announced the completion of its new sales, manufacturing and administrative facility near Shanghai, China. The new facility is the company's fourth full-service business location, with the others located in Massachusetts, Florida and at its global headquarters in North Andover, MA.
The company has been selling US manufactured products into the Chinese market since late 2007. The opening of the new facility is allied to L-com’s current expansion of its sales force in China and training its Chinese customer service group.
Ed Caselden, L-com's President and CEO, stated, "We needed additional manufacturing capacity to meet growing global demand, but the new China facility is more than just another factory; it provides a local sales and customer service platform to serve our fastest-growing markets in China and the rest of Asia."
"As soon as you walk in the door of the China facility, you can see it is a world-class operation," said Thomas Barczak, Vice President of Operations. "Every functional area – sales, customer service, manufacturing and logistics – is laid out efficiently with state-of-the-art equipment, training facilities and infrastructure for maximum productivity. Plus there's plenty of room for growth."
He added, "The new facility leverages L-com's global strengths in customer service, product design, manufacturing processes and quality control, which will extend our long-term competitive advantage into Asian markets."
